THE MATRIX

WHAT IS FREE SPACE FOR HONG KONG?

How much space exists for freedom?

In the Matrix,

Neo sensed that something was not quite right with the world.

Morpheus offered him a choice:

The Blue Pill, return to the life that he knew; or

The Red Pill, learn and suffer the consequences of truth.

Swallowed the Red one.

The Matrix had replaced the ‘real’ world.

Life became an existence where we are trapped and farmed.

We are prisoners

Where free space only existed as an experience of the mind.

Science fiction is entertainment,

But time has proven that authors are often,

Prophetic,

And our worlds are influenced

By literary foresight and cinematic visions.

Future Utopia,

Or present Dystopia?

Blue or Red?

We forfeit space and freedom

To live in the Metropolis.

Lifestyle is religiously preached.

Cities are the Holy Land of milk and honey.

The building frame is a matrix within which a limited number of façades infills can be adopted. The permutations achieved provide a pseudo organic outcome– a virtual impression of greater variety of choice than what is actually offered.

There will be occasional interruptions to the cycle: rogue pixels, bad code, illegal structures, yellow tapes – they are glitches of the Matrix.
